FIRST HALF OF 2024

The first half of 2024 has been incredibly busy at RVX, filled with exciting projects. This June, we are concluding our extensive visual effects work for HBO’s second season of House of the Dragon. RVX contributed approximately 200 VFX shots for this season, and we are thrilled for everyone to see our work. The season premiere airs on June 16th—don’t miss it!

But that’s not all. We’ve already embarked on our next major projects and are actively assembling our teams for the fantastic work ahead.

In other news, RVX has just finished the first milestones of the prestigious TPN security certification from the Trusted Partner Network. This elite certification, endorsed by the world’s largest entertainment companies, is a testament to our unwavering commitment to top-tier security standards, our dedication to meeting the industry’s highest regulations, and our relentless pursuit of excellence in protecting our clients’ valuable content.

THE EMMY AWARDS

On January 6th, 2024, the TV show “Last of Us” (HBO) was honored with an Emmy award for

Outstanding Special Visual Effects in A Season or A Movie.

This prestigious Emmy served as a testament to the industry’s recognition of the talent and passion demonstrated by each individual involved in bringing “The Last of Us” to life.
RVX, in particular, played a noteworthy role in contributing to some of the show’s stunning visual effects, and we take great pride in being an integral part of this phenomenal project.

THE WORLD VFX DAY

1. December 2023

RVX was a proud supporter of World VFX Day.

On the 8th December, 2024 our mission was clear—to illuminate the skills and artistry in creating visual effects
in filmmaking. Through collaboration with the industry, we aimed to share insights and information, placing visual effects at the forefront of the creative process. Our vision extends to working hand in hand with the industry to contribute to a brighter future for all those dedicated to the field of visual effects and aspire to demystify the world of visual effects for those outside of the industry.
‘World VFX Day’ is dedicated to those actively engaged in the world of visual effects. We invite everyone to participate and play a role in defining the essence of this day. Join us on the 8th of December 2024 as we come together to collectively celebrate and honor the significance of this day.

 

TAX INCENTIVE ICELAND

1. October 2023

It is permissible to reimburse from the Treasury 25% of production costs
incurred during the production of films, television programming or VFX
in Iceland. The definition of production costs includes pre-production,
production, and post-production. There is also the possibility of
enhancing the funding allocation by allocating 35% of the funds
specifically to projects that adhere to supplementary criteria. W
e have been actively engaging with the Icelandic Film Center to collaborate on a comprehensive document that provides more precise information regarding the tax support available in Iceland. Please READ MORE to know the basic information you need.
