RVX SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

At RVX, we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint and promoting sustainable practices throughout our operations. As a leading VFX company, we recognize the importance of being responsible stewards of the environment and strive to minimize our impact on the planet.

Our Commitment

We are dedicated to continuously monitoring and improving our sustainability performance. Our goal is to reduce our ecological footprint, promote a healthier work environment, and contribute positively to the community we serve.

Transportation

We encourage our employees to adopt environmentally friendly transportation options like walking or cycling to work. Currently, around 25% of our employees regularly use this option as their primary means of transportation, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and promoting a healthier workforce.
Electric Vehicle Charging is in process in our parking lot promoting the adoption of eco-friendly transportation options among employees and visitors.

Waste Reduction and Recycling

We prioritize waste reduction and recycling in our office by encouraging employee engagement and foster a culture of sustainability.

Electronic Waste Management

RVX is committed to responsible electronics disposal and recycling. We ensure that all electronic hardware is properly recycled at the end of its life cycle. Our asset management system, Snipe-IT, keeps detailed logs of all electronics, allowing us to track their usage and disposition.

When hard drives reach the end of their life cycle, we maintain a thorough audit log detailing their contents, use, and destruction. Upon destruction, we drill through the hard drive twice on different components, photograph the drive and send the rest to recycling facilities, ensuring that sensitive data is protected and the environment is preserved.

Energy Efficiency

Our company is fortunate to be based in Iceland, where carbon-friendly resources provide electricity to our facility. To further reduce our energy consumption:

  • We have established a strategic co-location data center arrangement with atNorth, a leading Icelandic company.

  • Our render nodes exhibit an impressive average idle time of 92%, during which they consume little to no energy, resulting in minimal power consumption overall.

  • We run only essential services and utilize high- efficiency workstations with power supplies rated at 80+ Gold or higher to optimize energy savings.

  • LED lighting is incorporated throughout our main office to minimize energy waste.

Continuous Improvement

RVX is committed to continuously monitoring and improving our sustainability performance. We will regularly assess our energy consumption, waste reduction, and recycling practices, making adjustments as necessary to ensure we are meeting our environmental goals.

atNorth (Co-Location) Sustainability Policy.

We have established a strategic co-location data center arrangement with atNorth, a leading Icelandic company.

atNorth remains steadfast in our vision to be the Nordic leader in delivering more computing for a better world. Sustainability has been woven into the fabric of our business from the beginning in 2009 and is the very reason for our Nordic presence. To be the partner of choice, developing and delivering a high-performance, de-carbonizing platform, for organizations wishing to lower their carbon footprint, we developed a Sustainability Policy in line with our business.

Our Sustainability Policy outlines our ESG responsibilities and details the steps we will take to achieve them across all levels of operation with measured accountability, transparency, and unwavering focus on sustainable business growth within the surrounding community and environment.
